DJ Skizz has released a video for the track “Vio-lence” off of his forthcoming BQE(Brooklyn Queens Experience) album. The track features Lil Fame & Ill Bill directed by Aaron Vasquez & Pace Rivers.

This take it back Thursday track comes to us from De La Soul. The year was 1991 the album was “De La Soul is Dead” and the track was “Ring Ring Ring”. This was the first release from their second album a catchy beat with black and white visuals. It highlighted how they were getting approached time and time again by hopeful rappers who wanted to play them their demos. De La are Hip Hop legends and to this day still rocking out on nationwide tours and concerts like Rock the Bells and Paid Dues.
Dre Murray of W.L.A.K(We Live As Kings) has released a new single “7913″ produced by Wit ahead of his new album Gold Rush: Maybe One Day (Collision Records) scheduled to be released 7-9-13. This track will not be available on the album so download it and let it hold you over until the full album is ready.

On Wednesday May 1st Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly member of the group Kris Kross passed away. He was found unresponsive at his Atlanta home and later pronounced dead at Atlanta Medical Center. He along with group member Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith formed Kris Kross who exploded on the scene with their mega hit “Jump Jump” in 1992. In February Kris Kross was part of the So So Def 20th anniversary celebration. Rest In Peace Chris Kelly your music will live on!
